Every private fee is published on our fees page, from a routine examination at £45 to implants and dentures, so you know the figure before you sit in the chair. Where a treatment has a range, the range is what it says: the exact figure depends on the tooth, and you are told it before work starts.

Teeth, gums, bite and a look at the soft tissues, with x-rays when they are needed. Children are seen from their first teeth.

The team
Seven dentists, one building.
Dr Mohammed Binamin leads the practice. He holds a master’s degree in dental implantology, a diploma in conscious sedation, and works as a senior specialty doctor in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Solihull Hospital, so the surgery, sedation and implant work that other practices refer out is done here. Around him are dentists with their own interests: root canals, Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry, facial aesthetics, oral surgery, and putting frightened people at ease.

Do you take NHS patients?
Widney Dental Care treats NHS and private patients and welcomes new patients. NHS places are limited everywhere in England, so call 01564 773080 and ask reception what is available for you and your family; private and Denplan appointments can be booked straight away.
What will it cost me on the NHS?
One band charge for the whole course of treatment, however many visits it takes: Band 1 for an examination and advice, Band 2 when fillings, root canals or extractions are needed, Band 3 for crowns, dentures and bridges. Under-18s, pregnant women and new mothers, and people on certain benefits pay nothing. The fees page has the list.
I am frightened of the dentist. Will that be a problem?
No. Tell reception when you book and your first visit is paced for you. Several of our dentists have a particular interest in anxious patients, and for treatment you would rather not be aware of, intravenous sedation is available at £175 a session, given by Dr Binamin, who provides sedation at Solihull Hospital. Do you see children?
Yes, from their first teeth. Children’s NHS treatment is free, and we offer fissure sealants and fluoride to protect new adult teeth. Children’s dentistry explains a first visit.
I am in pain now. Can you see me?
Call 01564 773080 as early in the day as you can and tell reception it is an emergency. NHS patients pay the urgent Band 1 charge; a private emergency visit is charged as an examination plus whatever treatment is done, and an out-of-hours call-out is £195. Do you accept Denplan?
Yes. Denplan patients are welcome, and if you would like to join a plan that spreads your routine care over the year, reception will take you through it.
Who does the facial aesthetics?
Dr Sonal Patel, a dentist and full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, provides the wrinkle-reducing injections and dermal fillers. The facial treatments page describes each one.
When are you open?
Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 6pm, Friday 8.30am to 5pm. The practice is at 76 Widney Road, Knowle, Solihull B93 9AW.
